Flood warnings are expected in the Hull area as Storm Ciara continues to affect the region.
The Environment Agency has issued a warning in Kingswood due to water levels rising above the threshold level.
High tides and the closure of the Hull barrier has caused water to back up – though levels at Kingswood have since dropped below warning levels and the pumps are in operation at east Hull.
The Hull barrier will be raised after high tide to let water out of the system and will close again for the next high tide as normal. While the city could see similar water levels again this evening, the Environment Agency is managing the situation.

Eleven coastal and tidal warnings are expected to be issued across the East Yorkshire Coast and Humber Estuary, based on the tidal and coastal forecast for tonight’s tide. This is due to the naturally occurring spring tides and the gusting winds. Keep up to date with flood warnings in the area here.
Hull City Council’s teams are on standby to help residents affected by flooding. Find out what to do in the event of a flood here.
The Humber Bridge closed for several hours yesterday – for only the second time in its history.
The bridge remains closed to high-sided vehicles due to high winds, while a 30mph speed limit is in place for cars.
It is likely to remain closed to high-sided and wind-vulnerable vehicles until Wednesday, drivers are being warned.
“Check on social media before you travel and/or obey signs on approach roads. Please don’t put yourself or other bridge users at risk,” said the Humberside Fire and Rescue on Twitter.
