Update: Following yesterday’s advice from the government, Hull City Council has cancelled the Not Where I Live week events in the city to ensure we are supporting the efforts to maintain public safety.
A push to raise awareness of how anti-social behaviour can be tackled in communities will take place in Hull.
Hull City Council’s Not Where I Live campaign will promote the various channels through which residents can report issues in their neighbourhoods.
Anti-social behaviour includes noise nuisance, environmental issues, misuse of public space and anything which has an adverse effect on the people living, working or visiting communities across the city.
The team will work with partners, including Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, to provide advice to residents at four events in the city:
- Monday 16 March, 10am-2pm at Asda Beverley Road
- Thursday 19 March, 10am-2pm at St Stephens and interchange –cancelled
- Friday 20 March, 10am-2pm at Trinity Market –cancelled
- Saturday 21 March, 10am-2pm at Princes Quay –cancelled
Councillor Mike Thompson, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and communities, said: “Anti-social behaviour in our neighbourhoods is not be tolerated and we have a dedicated team of officers who work hard to address anti-social behaviour issues.
“As a council, we encourage anyone who has concerns to come along and speak with one of our officers at these events.”
