Essential overnight resurfacing will take place on the Ferry Lane Roundabout from Monday 21 February in the latest phase of the Stoneferry improvement scheme.
The work is expected to last about two weeks and will be undertaken overnight from 7pm to 6am in order to minimise disruption. There will be no work on Saturday/Sunday nights
During the work, access to Ferry Lane roundabout will be closed to traffic in all directions, with signed diversion routes in place (closures marked in red below).
Residents will be able to access Glebe Road, Foredyke Avenue and Rievaulx Court from Bandstand Roundabout. Exit will be via Foredyke Avenue, where signed diversions will be in place (see diagram below).
Access to and from Lorraine Street will be marshalled from Chamberlain Roundabout, using the southbbound carriage way (see diagram below).
Access to businesses on Ann Watson Street and Rix Road will be maintained from Bandstand Roundabout.
Councillor Dean Kirk, Hull City Council’s portfolio holder for transportation, roads and highways said: “As part of the multimillion-pound Stoneferry improvement scheme, we have so far resurfaced approximately 2.11km of carriageway and 2km of footways.
“The project is currently on course for completion in late spring, after which motorists, businesses and residents in the Stoneferry area will be able to enjoy the full benefits of a much-improved road network.
“The upcoming closures will be carried out overnight in order to minimise disruption. As always, noise mitigation has been a core consideration in the selection of equipment. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
